DENVER, Dec. 7, 2010 - Thought Equity Motion, Inc., a leading provider of video platform and rights development services, announced today an extension of its exclusive footage licensing agreement with Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE). In the new arrangement, Thought Equity Motion is launching a new Columbia Pictures Collection and adding content from more than 400 SPE titles, representing over 40,000 new film-backed, high-definition clips.

“We’re excited to extend our relationship with Thought Equity Motion and continue the success we’ve experienced over the past four years of our agreement in developing new revenue streams and creating new value from our libraries,” said Carey Hanson, VP Content Licensing, for SPE. “We’ve evaluated a range of options over the years, and Thought Equity Motion clearly has the kind of global distribution network and advanced technology platform we need to ensure that our footage is offered to the market with the quality and ease of use that our customers want.”

“We’ve worked to develop new value from the Sony Pictures Entertainment library over the years and are excited to add the Columbia Pictures Collection to our offering,” stated Kevin Schaff, CEO & Founder of Thought Equity Motion. “This is studio-grade content, with tens of thousands of dollars in production value per minute of footage. We have curated and organized these collections to support the world’s leading creatives, filmmakers and producers, enabling them to save time and costs without compromising on the quality of their productions.”
